World Cruise Land Air and Sea

New York - New York                         Day 24 - 25  Temp 19       Wednesday 20 /Thursday 21/ 08/2025

After leaving Halifax two days at sea, we docked at one of the world's most powerful cities and influential for culture fashion and commerce New York. Settle in the 17th century the city consists of five boroughs and an intricate patchwork of neighborhoods. Some of these include Lower Manhattan Battery Park and South Street Seaport China Town Greenwich and the New York Stock Exchange, along with Little Italy the flat Iron District and Gramercy Park. Famous Central Park that covers 843 acres a green space within the asphalt jungle, where nearly 170 languages are spoken.                               We arrived around 0400 under cloudy skies with a forecast of light rain at 1300 (1.00pm) but it started at 1100 just after we cleared customs as it is in New York everyone on the ship has to crew and all because it is done their way, we got a hop on hop off bus ticket one day $80 or two day $83 and that was for two routes red downtown from Times Square to wall St and the Statue of Liberty and The World Trade Center and Blue route Uptown from Times Square to Central Park and Rockefeller Center and Carnegie Hall it drizzle all day and stopped 10 minutes before we got off, day two was when we got off at the places we had marked even then we ran out of time because there is a lot to see.
