Destination Panama Canel Day32 Temp 28 Thursday 28/08/2025
After a early departure form Cartagena at 1400 and we sailed through the night and a heavy thunderstorm at lasted two and half hours plus we arrived at Panama Canal entrance at 0600 on time. This 50-mile water way it took 8 hours to travel linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans is one of the engineering marvels of the 20th century. Completed in 1914 the canal marks the culmination of a dream born in 1513 when Balboa became the first European to cross the isthmus of Panama and sight the Pacific. Each lock is 1401ft long.
Destination Cartagena Day 31 Temp 34 Wednesday 27/ 08/ 2025
After two days crossing the Caribbean Sea, we are now in Cartagena Colombia this was the transit port for all the wealth Spain derived from South America the old city is comprised of 12 square blocks filled with boutiques and restaurants. This is the land of El Dorado where adventurers in search of the ever-elusive gold Cartagena's well-constructed fortifications defended its borders against seafaring pirates for more than 200 years.

Miami Day 28 Temp 29 Sunday 24/08/2025
Arriving at Miami on time it was an early start to the day as Miami is a world -renowned international destination. In the 500 years since Ponce de Leon arrived in search of the elusive fountain of youth people have flocked here to capture the city's energy. While the city is noted for its towering palm trees, glittering blue ocean pristine beaches and beautiful weather. We had to meet our driver at 0800 then it was an hour ride to the Everglades where we had a ride in a highspeed air boat power by two 7ltr V8 Cadillac engines.

At Sea (Destination Miami) Day 26 & 27 Temp 27 Friday 22& Saturday 23/8/2025
After our departure was delayed was delayed for eight hours we departed New York at 2359 a decision was made by the captain and his crew this the best way to take on cyclone Erin which was the right one as we arrived in Miami on time at 0700 with calm seas most of the night.
