Day 43. 07/07/2022              Victoria River Roadhouse - Kununurra

It was just all drive today 318 Km and four hours with a stop at the West Australian boarder for

Quarantine Stop they went over the car and van, but we had disposed of everything, but they found

a carboard box that once had fruit in it approx. three years ago so they took it and we were on our

        way.

Day 42. 6/07/2022                            Katherine - Victoria River Roadhouse

Only a short drive today 196 Km when talking to the locals I was advise Katherine to give

Timber Creek a miss and the roadhouse would safer.

After setting up camp Val and I went down to the river to see if our luck was in with the fishing rod

keeping our eyes open for crocodiles result no fish but the good news no crocodile either.

Day 41. 05/07/2022                         Katherine (Cutta Cutta Caves)

Our last day in Katherine we went to the Cutta Cutta caves 27Km south of the town, interesting

caves as they were very dry not like the normal caves that have moisture and they have a quite a bit

of wildlife such as bats, snakes and birds.

Day 40. 04/07/2022                   Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk)

Today we will remember for a long time a cruise up the Katherine Gorge for two hours whet the

walls of the gorge are 60mts high and at the deepest point the river is 40mts deep and with crocodiles

sunning themselves on the banks of the river.

And for the second time we had dinner at the Katherine club.

Day 39. 03/07/2022                      Adelaide River to Katherine

Today was different to the last three days not a cloud in the sky and a nice warn 21 degrees

by the time we got to Pine Creek it was 24c it was a pleasant 205Km drive booked into the

Riverview Caravan Park then went to the Cutta Cutta caves but could not get in till tomorrow

but that is out because we are doing the gorges so it will have to be Tuesday, we then had a look

at the hot springs which are just behind the park that looks good for tomorrow after the cruise.

For dinner we had a beef roast at the Katherine Club top place.

Day 38. 02/07/2022                     Adelaide River - Daly River

Today we tried our fishing luck in another spot on the Daly River a 218 Km return drive with

with plenty of wildlife to see along the way Eagles, Wallabies, Kangaroos and Kites then when

we get to our planed fishing spot on the other bank are two big crocodiles that is ok as long as

they stay on their side and Val and I will stay on our side of the river.

We had no luck, but a couple of fishermen came in with a nice 57cm Barra.

Even with no luck on the fishing part of our drive by now the sun was shining and it was a

great after noon on the bank of the river.

Day 37. Friday 01/07/2022             Adelaide River

After a very wet and windy night the rain eased of about 06 00 and the locals say it is the coldest             day

they can remember we spent some time looking through the war cemetery here in town then it               was

time for a cup of coffee and visit the 303 Bar where the bull that was in Crocodile Dundee is

they had him stuff and is in the bar.

After lunch it was time to try my luck and see if I could catch a Barra in the Adelaide River where

the locals told me was the best place in town to land one, but no luck even a visit from a Emu

         could not help.

Then after dinner some of the locals put on some fireworks for Northern Territory Day.
