Tassie Road Trip

            Day 6.

Today’s drive was over some of Tasmania’s most rugged  and some of its best farm land

Queenstown to Hobart it starts with steep climb out of Queenstown over barren land

With very little vegetation witch is the result of the smelters operating here in years gone by.

Our first stop was at the Iron Blow where the Mt Lyell mining went underground and bourse Tail

Falls, the weather did not get any better until we got to Nelson Falls where the wind ease but the rain

did not ease of till Derwent Bridge and we got to the Wall a carving of 100 meters x two long carved

              Australian scenes into Houn pine.

It was then a drive straight to Hobart with a couple of stops to photograph some wild life on the side

of the road and the stop at Plenty where George  and Elizabeth Ransley my 4th Great Grand Father and

Mother on my mothers side are buried.

Then it was to the caravan checked in then back to Pam and Peter Campbell’s for dinner and a chat for a

             of hours.
