      Thursday 13th 2020

      Day 5.

      Today we went around to the north side of the mountain to see Mount Taranaki from the last side the into New Plymouth via Waitara were we had lunch at the New Plymouth Club then home via Edmonton Village and Inglewood and Midhirst back to Stratford.

      Wednesday 12th February 2020

      Day 4.

      Today was just a nice relaxing day just siting around the garden table in the sun just having a good talk till lunch time in the afternoon went for drive to Huinga Tunnel which was made in 1858 and went to Mangaehu Stream.

Calling into meat Ross one of Fred and Glenys sons then home where Glenys had a lovely lamb roast cooking.

      Tuesday 11th February 2020

      Day 3.

  

      Today our first stop was at pukeiti gardens which was once under the Queen Elizabeth Trust but now under the Taranaki Council the to a beach town    of Oakura stopped at the Crafty Fox wagered Val go a couple of souvenirs then back to the main drag where we stopped at the Red Wood plantation 

It was then to Weld Road beach. Where Fred’s anseters came from then had a cup of coffee at Okato then to Pungarehu to the Cape Lighthouse built in 1864 with our next stop at was at the gas field at Rahotu then we stopped at the cliff top gardens at Opunake then home to Stratford for fish and Paua and potato cakes.

       Sunday 17th February 2020

      Left Tullamarine on time arrived  on time Fred and Glenys were waiting and a nice car ride to Stratford with a stop at Mocow for whitebait cakes

      and a stop by the river to eat themquite a nice feed.

      Monday 18th February 2020

      After a good nights sleep we left Fred and Glenys place at 11 00 o’clock with our first stop Mt Taranaki and a walk up the mountain to 1120 mts 

      to the tunnel then a stop at Fred and Glenys farm then to Kaupokonui beach then to Ohawi beach then to Fontera milk prossing plants then oil wells

Road Trip No. 3

      Thursday 24th October 2019

      Day 3.

      Waking up to a clear blue sky and a forecast top of 32 we headed back to Port Welshpool after booking into the Long Pier Caravan Park and dumping the van we headed to the Anges waterfalls just 14 Kms into the hills.

We then took the scenic road to Toora pass the Toora wind farm then back to Port Welshpool.

It was the to try and see if we could catch dinner of the Long Pier but with no luck so plan B was put into effect and 

it was to the Pier Port Hotel for a great dinner of fish and chips.

Day Trip No.3

      Day. 2

      Sunrise at Port Albert was to a sea fog something Val had never seen before and the camera could not come into action fast enough after breakfast we   headed to Yarram just a short 15 minutes up the road where we had lunch with Michael.

After lunch we headed up the Tarra Valley Road to the Tarra Bulga National Park to Balook then a round trip back to Yarram via the Blackwarry Scenic Rd then finishing of the day with dinner at The Yarram Country Club.

Road Trip No.3

  

      Day. 1

      

      Leaving home we avoided the Tullamarine and Monash freeways and used the Eastern freeway onto Springvale Road and joined the Monash there

      A good move as we where in Cranebourne in hour ten stopping at Korumburra for a couple of things we forgot then headed to Port Albert for fish          

      and chips from the Wild Fish nice and crispy then watched the su set over the mangroves.
