The Journey Brisbane Day23
After a night of rock n rolling in 4mtr waves the morning saw us arriving into the Brisbane port in
calm waters overcast with the first sign of rain we docked at 08 00 after all passengers that were going ashore us that were left had to stay in our cabins for two hours while they did a deep clean of all the public areas. We depart Brisbane at 17 40.

The Journey at Sea Day 22
This is our second day out from Cairns at sea this morning it was calm and overcast Val went to her knitting and then to craft classes and I talked cricket with the barman at the bar at the back of the ship and of course he was Indian. After dinner it was to the show for the Farewell Show which was ok. Now at 23 00 Hours the seas are what you might call Rough from our balcony the waves look 4mts Val has gone to sleep.

The Journey at Sea (Willis Island) Day21
Our first day at sea after leaving Cairns the forecast was for rain but luck was still on our side
with fine and clear skies with a top temp of 34 degrees 240 kms off the coast of Queensland we came
close to Willis Island which is a weather station for BOM it is only 140 mts long and 120mts wide
we than set a course for Brisbane and to go through the Great Barrier Reef we were follow by a flock of
sea birds there were three or four breeds of boobies.

The Journey Cairns Day 20
Two tug help put us in place at Cairns dock 09 00 the temp was 30degrees and it got up to
33degrees the chair lift was booked out so we just had a walk around town Cairns has got a lot
bigger since we were last here it is no longer just a little country town after two and a half hours
we made our way back to the ship after dinner the show was a tribute to Johnny Cash.
After they moved the Silver Nover out and she went on her way they started to turn us around
which took the best part of 50 minutes we then set out into the Coral sea.

The Journey at Sea Day 19
We rounded Cape York at 01 35 and headed Southeast in mild seas till around 14 00 Hours
when the seas got a little choppy and the temp down to 30 degrees then it try to rain but only a
couple of drops then it was all clear again till sunset.
It is now 21 45 Hrs. off Hopevale Queensland coast and the waves are about 2and a half mts.

The Journey Darwin Day 16
Arrived at Darwin at 07 00 weather fine and 29 degrees we got the shuttle bus into town $15 return
the CBD is quiet if it wasn't for the ship, you could not see anybody apart from Woolies there are
empty shops everywhere.
Our dept tome was 22 00 the captain advised that it could be delay by an hour because of harbour
movements as it turned out we were going to depart on time they had three morning ropes to go
and there was a medical emergency, so they had to secure all lines and attach the boarding plank
then wait 55 minutes for the ambulance to arrive we then deputed at 00 30.

The Journey at Sea Day 15
This was our third day at sea since we left Broome the temp was a mild 30 degrees, and the sea was even smoother with hardly a ripple. The ship was very quiet with everyone just doing their thing and that was lying around in the sun, the entertainment was Jarred Fell a magician and very good act.

The Journey at Sea (Kimberley Coast) Day 14
Today being another sea day we were on the Kimberley Coast around 10 00 we entered Prince Fredrick Sound but before we left the captain did a 360 degree to reset the magnetic compass or to check if it was ok then it was exit and set a course for Darwin.

The Journey at Sea (Yampi Sound) Day 13
The temp overnight did not go under 28 degrees and because there is a little bit of gastro on the ship in the buffet there is no self-service so the que for breakfast is a little longer. Then it was down to the Princess Theater for the Remembrance Day service the theater seats 800 and it was full, and the service was very good, at 1210 we arrived at Yampi Sound the temp was now 36 degrees with threating thunderstorms, but they did not arrive. After dinner the show was Rock & Roll Retrospective with Thomas Armstrong Robley and was very good act.

The Journey Broome Day 12
After two days at sea this morning we docked at Broome and the sea was like a mill pond and the temp was in the 30s after breakfast we joined the que by getting tickets for the bus shuttle into town the wait was near to 40 minutes which was a twenty min ride, we had a walk around just to prove we could still walk on land for a hour Val got a couple of things and we got the bus back to the ship the bus staff in town were great but when we got back to the dock and Princess staff controlled the us getting off the buses it was a complect balls up we sat on the bus for 35 minutes the only good thing was the bus was air condition. the show at the Princess Theater was repeat of seven nights ago so it was then back to the Crooners Bar for a night cap.

The Journey at Sea Day 11
Today is a normal day at sea and it just a quiet day with the temp at 35 degrees and cram seas to nights show at the Princess theater stared Lisa Woodbrook the best that has been on all cruise she is a star. Then back to the Crooners Bar for a night cap.

The Journey At Sea Day 9
Today was a day at sea so it was quite the seas were reasonably cram with a light wind, so it was just sitting around getting a fix on our suntan. After dinner the Princess theater show was on a tribute to Fredy Mercury and was very good it was then back to the Crooners bar for a night cap.

The Journey Fremantle Day 8
This morning, we arrived at Fremantle under cloudy skies and it look like it was going to rain so we left the ship with jackets but as the day went on the sky cleared and it became a nice day and got to 25 degrees a walk around town including a visit to the Round House the old Jail and the maritime museum then back to the ship for a afternoon snack and a quiet drink and get ready for tea then to the show which was a flop. The of cause to the Crooners Bar for a night.
