                                                                  Charlton to Essendon

          Day 76.                                                 Tuesday 09/08/2022

                                                                        Renmark to Charlton

         Today we crossed back into Victoria and traveled through the biggest wine growing area of Victoria and then into the wheat belt from Ouyen to Charlton where we made camp for the night and had dinner at the Royal hotel.

         Day 75.                                           Monday 08/08/2022

                                                 Carradoo Tanks Gravel Pit (Gilles Lake)

After a quiet but very cool night we were on the road at 0815 our first stop was Harrys Place a Roadside supermarket for a coffee and hot chocolate and as luck was in had fresh oysters for $16. just coming off the truck then arrived at Renmark 1445 but not before had a stop on the outskirts of town where we got some Port then to of a good day it was dinner at the Paringa Hotel via a courtesy bus.

         Day 74.                                 Sunday 07/08/2022

                     Ceduna Via Smoky Bay - Streaky Bay - Kimba to Carradoo tanks Gravel Pit (Lake Gilles)  

         The morning was clear and good for a drive leaving Ceduna at 0830 heading for Smoky Bay hopeing to get some Oysters and we had a little bit of luck one shed was open and got a dozen and half for $18 so we then headed for streaky Bay with no luck, so we headed for Kimba fuel was 199.9 so we got a top up and the roadhouse sold authentic Indian curries so that was an early dinner then we drove 40 Km and found a nice quiet spot in an old gravel pit that was the night.

         Day 72.                                                     Saturday 06/08/2022

                                                                               Eucla to Ceduna

         Todays 492 Km drive completed in 8 hours with four stops along the way for photos of the best scenery you could find anywhere in the world stop 1 at Bunda Cliffs, The Great Australian Bight Lookout No.2 and The Great Australian Marine Park Lookout. Then a stopped at the Nullaror Roadhouse for a coffee and a hot chocolate the car did not need any fuel as we topped it up yesterday at Mundrabilla getting into Ceduna at 1630.

         Day 72.                                                     Friday 05/08/2022

                                                                 Woorlba Rest Stop 24 - Eucla Rest stop 4

         On the road at 0835 for a pleasant drive along Highway 1 on the Nullabour not much traffic and the scenery is all the same stopped at Cockebiddy for coffee and a hot chocolate after completing 90mile (145 Km) straight stretch of road, no fuel as it was $2.86 a lt   the scenery changed after Madura when we were crossing the Hamptom Tablelands our next stopped was Mundrabilla for Fuel mate and WA Fuel said it was a better price than Eucla at $2.49 a lt  the first fuel we have taken since Norsmam 509 Km ago so we made camp at Najada Rest Stop 4 for the night.

         Day 71.                                           Thursday 4/08/2022

                                                               Esperance - Woorlba Rest stop 24

               Leaving Esperance in heavy rain and cross winds was not good driving conditions for the first 100 Km but when the rain stopped, and the wind became a semi tail wind so did the driving then when we got to Norseman and filled up with fuel at $2.219 per lts and did a right hand and pointed the front of the car east it became good but not as good as Wednesday because the winds were not as strong after 442Km we pulled into Woorlbe rest stop24 for the night.

         Day 70.                                                Wednesday 03/08/2022

                                                                     Albany to Esperance 

         Today we left Albany at 0915 with the wind coming onto our left side and for the first 30Km it was a no fun driving but then we turn a corner, and all changed we got a tail wind at that stage We were getting 20.8 Lts per 100 Km by the end of the day after 481Km we were down to 13.8 Lts per 100Km and it was great driving even with water over the road in one part we stopped at the old mining town of Ravensthorpe for a cup of coffee and hot chocolate arriving at Esperance at 1530 a 6 hour drive.

         Day 69.                                           Tuesday 02/08/2022

                                                              Busselton - Albany 

          What a night the wind blew the worst on record up to 127 Kmh and it rain over 100mm wheely bin were moved all over the caravan park. We were on the road at 0910 for our 364 Km drive to Albany it rained most of the way at least the wind eased up we stopped at Walpole for a hot chocolate after driving through the valley of the Giants before getting into at Albany1530.

               Day 68.                                          Monday 01/08/2022

                                                     Coogee Beach (Fremamtle) - Busselton

             After a wild night of wind and rain the morning was no better as we hooked up and made our way south to Busselton with a stopover at Wellington Dam but as we turned into the road there was a sign that the bridge was closed so it was a turn around and a 12 Km drive back down the mountain we then drove to Busselton with no hassle's Booked into the R A C park and then went for a drive to t Busselton Pier only to find that the pier was closed due to the weather.
