Road Trip

Day 7 Sunday 30 April 2017 Today We left Kimba witch is half way across Australia and left the Big Galah behind traveling on the Eyre Highway to Port Augusta with the bend in the road.

Where we then travel on the Stuart Highway to Woomera total of 361KM.

Day 1 On the Road

Day 1 Van packed and on the road stopped at Ararat got dinner then next stop was the Big Koala Then Dimboola for the night at the Wimmera rest stop

Day 6 Saturday 29 April 2017 Today was mainly a driving day on leaving Coffin Bay our first stop was Coffin Bay National Park right to the tip of Eyre Peninsula.

Then up the Tod Highway to Kyancutta to Minnipa and to Kimba a total of 561KM.

Day 5 Friday 28/4/2017 Today was only a 255km drive along the Eyre Highway from Port Gibbon to Port Lincoln where we had lunch fish and chips it was OK but no better than what you get at home and even a dearer piece of whiting was $10.00 and flake $10.90 but in Port Gibbon Oysters where $10.00 a dozen. WE then finished the day along the Flinders Highway to Coffin Bay Oysters still $10.00 dozen so we have enough for 4 days booked into Coffin Bay Caravan Park.

Thursday 27th April 2017 Day 4 Today we left Port Germein heading for Port Augusta where we went through the Wadlata Outback Centre very interesting. Then on to Whyalla and to the highest point at Hummoch Hill,Then onto Port Gibbon to the Harbour View Caravan Park for the night.

Wednesday 26 April 2017 Day 3 Stay the night at Jackmans Lookout Rest Area at Tailem Bend into Adelaide to get the fridge door fixed cup of coffee with Neil Todd lunch at Port Wakefield then to Port Germein for the night.

Day 2 26 April 2017 Not the early start to the day that we had planed slept in and missed the ANZAC dawn service then missed the service at Nhill got to Serviceton And meet Les Millagan a great man who looks after the old railway station he show us around upstairs ground floor and down stairs in the police holding cells and the morgue. Our next stop was Coonalpyn to have a look at the painted silos the to Marraybridge for the night.

24 April 2017 Day 1 Van packed and it was time to hit the road first stop Ararat for dinner supples then a photo stop at the Big Koala Then had Dinner on the banks of the Wimmera River at Dimboola it rained all the way from Stawell to Dimboola.
